is there a way to use both an indoor and outdoor antenna together for tv?

After the digital tv switch, I got a digital converter box and hooked it up to my old outdoor antennae, and all tv stations are clear except for 4 uhf channels. I was considering buying an indoor digital antenna….is there a way to use both the old outdoor antenna with an indoor antenna to improve the 4 channels that aren’t clear? Or is there no way of connecting both to the TV?

The digital stations are on both VHF and UHF bands so you need a combo VHF/UHF antenna (not just one or the other). If you try to combine an indoor antenna with an outdoor antenna, it might work, but more likely the two would interfere with each other and actually give you less channels, so I’d only recommend trying it if you can return the new antenna if it doesn’t do what you want it to do. To combine two antennas, just hook them to the output side of a two way antenna splitter (like this one http://www.datavis.com/Belkin-Components-2-WAY-SPLITTER-1-INPUT-2-OUTPUT.html ) and then hook the input side to the TV antenna input.
