Beatrix became the friend of the world through many of her great works and achievements. Though she was not part of the Romantic era when many writers and poets existed, she could project the same lines of thoughts in her books. The approach towards the plot structure and the literary devices used point towards the perpetual respect and love towards nature and all that it has to offer.

Books of Beatrix Potter attracted children the most who found her writings interesting enough to love the nature. Some literary scholars are of the belief that children were most attracted to her works because their innocent, nubile minds recreated the world intended by the author in nearly the exact manner she imagined it to be.

Some of the distinguished examples of Beatrix Potter Books are ‘The tale of Peter Rabbit’(1901), ‘The Tale of Squirrel Nutkin’(1903), ‘The Tale of Benjamin Bunny’(1904), ‘The Tale of Timmy Tiptoes’(1911).The environment in which B.Potter grew had a huge impact on her style of writing. Being born in a wealthy family was both a curse and a boon for her. She had spent a large part of her childhood without any friends so the lack of human companionship was replaced by a huge assortment of pets. She neither had friends nor parents around her and therefore she used to spend all her time with the nature where she could make various loving pets. This further enhanced her positive perception of nature. B.Potter was known to sketch a variety of animals she observed in the countryside as well as some of her pets.

Her stories changed the outlook towards the woods from being “dark & mysterious” to “warm & comforting”. People found the nature’s woodland to be good and refreshing after reading Beatrix Potter books. As she was inspired by Aesop fables, all of her stories had moral values that proved to a good source of knowledge for the readers. She was also able to develop her fame among many great writers of her time by her writings and achievements.

Beatrix Potter Books have also been recognized as the bestsellers. When taken under the wing of Frederick Warne & Co publication went into rotation with 28,000 copies, a huge number in those times.
