Navionics Hotmaps
Any experience with the Navionics HotMaps and/or the Eagle FishElite 500C/502C?
I’m seriously considering the 500C (avail at WestMarine, BassPro, etc) and the HotMaps Canada ’07. The ’07 Hotmaps are about 30% less than the ’08, and when I look at the listed lakes there don’t seem to any lakes in my area that are on the ’08 maps and not on the ’07 maps, so might as well save $50.
The only problem with the old maps is the water levels indicated on them might not be accurate due to dimishing lake levels. If youre using a depth finder also there isnt a problem. I purchased them 1 year old a couple of times. Save youre money for more important items like lures, rods, reels etc.
Check on e-bay, you can probably get them for less money there also.
