Can I program my Motorola GP340 two radios operate on unlicensed on the CB network?
I have a few UHF Motorola GP340 Two-Way Radios that need be licensed before I use legally. I have not tried the programming software, but … I use the frequency channels to the PMR channels in the range of: 446.103125 MHz to 446.196875 MHz (UHF) to the power: 4W and legally without a license to use the radios in the UK? Or not even lower the power? Please share. Thank you.
In the UK, you are not allowed to operate on the PMR radio frequencies above 500 milli-watts. Since the minimum power is on these radios 1 watt, you should not use the PMR spectrum. However, the programming software allows you to do so. Nick
