What is the best GPS detection device?
I need a device to scan vehicles for GPS tracking equipment. I believe a friend of mine has someone following her and she would like for me to try and find the GPS unit on her truck. Any advice would be appreciated.
Nothing that I can think of will find a transceiver in your vehicle. I would do a manual check under the dash, on top of the radio, inside the glove box compartment and above it, inside the center console and inside the truck area near the speakers and inside the hood area, even under the vehicle.
The good thing is that it requires constant power or the tracking device will have to be physically removed to recharge it’s batter, there are devices that can last a few weeks to months but they are normally larger device that includes an extra battery and an accelerometer.
