Lost Iphone- how to find?
Hey all,
So a long night of inebriation ending with me losing total consciousness just passed. It’s fine, I know I need to tone down the alcohol consumption, thats that. I will
But I am missing my iphone. According to my friends I was at multiple locations last night- the nightclub, my apartment, and a hospital. I’m not very optimistic at this point.
So what can I do now? So far I have thought of a couple of actions to take.
1) look for it in person (which I will)
2) buy a new one? Is there any way I can upgrade to the iphone 3gs to minimize my costs/reduce the amount of shame I’m going through by losing this? Im still on apples warranty
3) is there any software/gps tracking stuff that would work.
2 things that make this a pain in the ass- i’m actually in beijing, china; making my chances at finding this really slim. also, i turned airplane mode on my phone to reduce roaming charges… i hope this doesnt prevent me from locating it via gps
Regardless of wether you have the 3.0 OS the ‘find my phone’ thing is only available if you have the ‘mobile me’ software which you have to buy and installed before you actually lose your phone so you wont be able to use that.
Also if you did have the software already you wouldnt find it because you have it in airplane mode because it uses a cellular network signal to find the phone.
I dont see them upgrading you to a 3gs if you have insurance they will prob jus replace the phone for the same iphone 3g.
