gps on iphone free
is the gps on the iphone free like the internet?
i am thinking of getting a iphone 3G and i wont too know if the gps is free like the internet on it is.
You have to install an app. There are some free ones.
That said, It is not true GPS, it does not use satellites, it uses cell tower tirangulation, and it is prone to inaccuracies. It is GPS only in name. If your out of range of multiple towers, your readings will be severely inaccurate.
It will not work properly in buildings, and only works well when you are actually in motion. Just a heads up.
