gps on blackberry curve 8330
GPS on Blackberry Curve 8330?
How do I get Maps to find a satellite on my Blackberry Curve using either Yahoo Maps or Alltel Pocket Express. Do I need to set something or have something not set correctly. My provider is Alltel. All I get is searching for satellite then a timed out message. Anybody else with this problem?
Hi, I had the same problem you did. I have Alltel as well, first off check to see what version of the Blackberry software you’re running. To do that hit Alt + Shift + H key and you will see App. Version it says 4.5.0.XXX
If you have 4.5.0.127 then I suggest you upgrade to at least 4.5.0.131, my gps did not work until I upgraded to that, now I get quick gps signal locks, even indoors. Also I suggest you check out the following link, It will help you obtain better gps signal locks using aGPS
