What file format do I use to add POI into my Honda Navteq GPS?
I have a 2009 Honda CRV and would like to add some the POI files that are available. I have the ability to put in a DVD into the system but not sure what file format is required to update the system, if I can do it.
I was hoping to take things from POIfriend.com and add it to my system, without having to upload each POI seperately. There are a lot of Tim Horton’s in Ontario!
I don’t think you can do it that way because it is a dvd based navigation and you gonna have to re-write down the whole code for the navigation! what you can do is you can save those points into the system through the interface as points of interest or as a favorite location using the provided menu. check the navigation manual provided with the car and you will find out different and easier ways to doing that. good luck and enjoy your CRV!
