What is a good inexpensive gps geocaching?

I want to start geocaching with my 7 year old. I want a gps that will get the job done without paying for anything I don’t really need. Thanks

miwa’s suggestion is good, that unit has a USB interface and is reasonably priced. My only gripe would be no electronic compass. For me that would be a “show stopper.” On the other hand, people have found many, many caches without the luxury of the electronic compass so if price is a major issue the Venture HC will get the job done.
