Are you leery of buying a manufacturer refurbished item?
Some of the Black Friday deals are refurbished. I have my eyes on a TomTom GPS from PepBoys, and the best deal is a refurb. Should I be careful or treat it as if it’s a new item?
Yes – you can buy a refurb.
I bought many items in refurb, but almost many from manufacturers. So far, unless i tell its refurb, no one can find them. They are perfect like new ones.
I was checking about the GPS for a while and found that in GPS market most of the items are returned either by better one available in market or the person didnt liked that. Very limited/rarely real issue.
Check this
- Are the Map updation included?
- Do you get the manufacturer warranty or only shop warranty (I will skip if its only shop)
- Did they mentioned anything about scratches or limitations?
- Is there a restocking fee with store?
- Is the store/site good on customer care(dont get hooked with automatic systems for hours!)
GPS were 300$ range one year back and same GPS is now for 140$! The refurb of it is 60$!!
I settled with Tom Tom refurb, it works excellent!!
