Garmin c330 and c340 GPS reception in NY?
Hello guys! I’m looking for a gps for my car. I’m wondering how the reception for the Garmin c340 or the lower one c330 in big city like NY. Also, is there a late turn notification for the c340 like other reviews mentioned? Thanks a lot!
Either unit should work fine in NY. The antenna in both is the same. The only problem you might run into is atound very tall buildings. You can get something called ‘signal multipath’ where the unit receives a signal that has been reflected off glass or shiny metal and can give you a position error. I would expect this only to happen in the heart of long Island though. Anywhere else it should work very well without any late turn notification.
