gps bluetooth fm transmitter
How does FM-Bluetooth-GPS-Calling work?
im thinking about getting a Garmin Nuvi 660 and it has bluetooth so you can use it to make calls on your cell phone. It also has an FM transmitter so all audio from the unit will come out of your car speakers.
so wouldnt that mean, when you make a call with the FM feature on, the person youre calling will just end up hearing themselves through the car speakers, which obviously would be loud enough to be picked up by the GPS mic…
doesnt that just make it a completely useless feature?
Actually, you don’t have to use the fm transmitter on the 660, you can have the sound coming from the units built in speaker. Trust me, the volume on the Nuvi’s are loud enough that you don’t need to play it through your stereo.
