gps antenna for iphone
where is the GPS antenna located on iPhone 3gs?
hi i have a iPhone 3gs and was wondering where the antenna for the GPS is located… and is it the same as the wifi antenna, because my wifi is working fine but the GPS stops working if i’m driving to fast or cant find me at all sometimes. thank you very much
GPS signals are *incredibly* weak. If you have your phone on the seat of the car, or you are around tall buildings, you are not going to be able to get a reliable lock on the GPS satellites. You need the phone to be able to literally “see” the sky around it for reliable GPS. The roof of the car will block GPS signals, but they can get through glass with no problems. For reliable GPS in a car, you are going to need to have it mounted in the front window of the car, as far forward as possible so it can “see” as much of the sky as possible.
