free gps navigator for blackberry
Is it free to enable GPS on the blackberry storm?
I have seen several articles lately that say that Verizon has allowed gps from other programs, but is there a charge to enable it? I am looking to use it for BlackBerry maps and/or goole maps and don’t want to have to pay the $10 that verizon typically charges for its VZN Navigator. Thanks in advance!
Actually the GPS is free. You won’t be charged $10 for utilizing the GPS via Google Maps or Blackberry Maps. Anyone who tells you differently is just trying to get a commission off VZNav. I have a BB Storm and I have been running Google Maps WITHOUT a charge. The only thing is that you don’t get the same kind of turn by turn directions as Verizon…Personally, I find Google Maps to be superior since you can get the street view.
