THE SAME RF VHF DIGITAL CHANNEL AND I CAN’T WATCH BOTH !

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU HAVE THE SAME RF VHF DIGITAL CHANNEL, BUT ONLY ONE CHANNEL GETS ACCEPTED ? HOW CAN YOU WATCH BOTH ?
I have a digital converter box and a digital antenna. there are two tv stations
with the same RF VHF digital channels.
I want to watch both, but only one RF VHF digital channel gets accepted through my digital converter box. I want to be able to watch both.
I want to know how can I watch both Digital broadcasts from both tv stations
without cutting out the other tv station ?

don’t really understand your question, but i am guessing you are confused by the PID. the PID is sent by the broadcast station, and that is what displays on your TV channel finder even though the actual channel being used is different. ie if local analog station on channel 7 is received digitally, the display reads channel 7 even though the receiver is actually picking up the digital TV on say channel 22. when receiving DTV, the broadcaster can be multicasting, ie the PID may indicate channel 7-1 and 7-3 etc. several “channel 7″s.. these extra programs are recived digitally only. most PBS stations multicast a PBS national HD feed and a local SD feed at the same time. you can choose between multicast programs the same as you would change channels on an analog set. if the broadcaster ends a multicasting session, the receiver will default back to the base program ie 7-1.
