HDTV receiver-Hisense DB2010-says all channels currently off air-as of ~June 10 in PDX. Did something change?
I just purchased an HDTV receiver from e-bay – a Hisense DB2010. It picks up 21 channels in Portland, OR, where I live and worked just fine for a couple weeks until yesterday, June 9, 2007. Now it shows a strong signal on all channels, but says that every channel is “currently off the air”. It also does not pick up channel guide information. Did something change with the HDTV broadcasting? Or did I have the good fortune to purchase something that broke in two weeks? I’ve already tried resetting the box to default settings and re-scanning for channels – it found all 21 of them, but can’t show them for some reason. Thanks for any help or advice.
I believe standards did change for broadcasters to cease analog signals, but HDTV is digital, so I wouldn;t see a problem.
